This calculation page does not consider UG-16(b) minimum thickness or external thread allowance. Pressure equations are from VIII-1 UG-27(c)(1). 12.5% UT has been removed from the thickness to calculate the allowed thickness (ta = 0.875*t). Long seam efficiency of 1 (E=1) has been assumed. Material properties are from ASME IID, suitable for preliminary calculations to VIII-1 and B31.1 it is sometimes conservative for B31.3.
